Orchid Show – with the Maryland Orchid Society @ Rawlings Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, 3100 Swann Dr, Baltimore, Maryland 21217 | 10am-4pm| The Conservatory, in partnership with the Maryland Orchid Society (MOS) is hosting an orchid show exhibiting MOS members’ prize-winning plants. Meet with the Conservatory’s Orchid Specialist from 1 – 3 p.m.

Glow Ice Skating Party, The Avenue at White Marsh, 8125 Honeygo Blvd, Baltimore, Maryland 21236, | 7-10pm| We’ll be heating things up with a glow-skate party on our 6,900 square foot outdoor ice rink. A portion of admission will be donated to the Fuel Fund of Maryland! So – shine your light, get your glow on and support the cause! DJ Har V will supply the music. We’ll supply glow necklaces. Spencer Finch: Moon Dust@Baltimore Museum of Art,10 Art Museum Drive BALTIMORE, MD 21218 | 10-4pm|The work consists of 150 individual chandeliers with 417 lights. The chandeliers are hung individually from the ceiling and form one large, cloud-like structure. Although an abstract sculpture, the installation is also a scientifically precise representation of the chemical composition of moon dust as it was gathered during the Apollo 17 mission.

He was a statesman, an abolitionist, a spokesperson, and a freedom fighter. Douglass was born in Maryland, lived in Baltimore for a time, and became a notable historical figure.
